- The product
- BI WORLDWIDE is a web-based employee engagement platform that helps organizations recognize achievements, celebrate milestones, reward performance, and strengthen workplace culture. It brings employee recognition, communication, reporting, rewards, and engagement together into one connected product experience.
- The challenge
- The platform supports many different kinds of engagement: recognition, celebrations, rewards, reporting, employee profiles, and communication. Each serves a different purpose, yet employees needed to experience all of it as one cohesive product. The challenge was designing a connected platform that never felt fragmented, no matter which part of it someone was using.
- Jonathan's contribution
- I was the product designer for BI WORLDWIDE, working across the employee dashboard, recognition, employee profiles, celebrations, rewards, reporting, and administration. The work was less about any single feature and more about making all of it read as one coherent product, whichever part an employee or an administrator happened to be in.
- The outcome
- One connected experience, unifying recognition, rewards, communication, and reporting so it could support employees and organizational leadership alike.

What Stayed With Me
This project reminded me that software isn't always built to make work faster. Sometimes it exists to make work feel more meaningful. Recognition, celebration, and shared accomplishment can feel less operational than a dashboard or a workflow, but they still need just as much thoughtful systems design underneath them.
That's what stayed with me. The challenge was never simply tracking engagement. It was building something people actually wanted to open again.
